Call for Papers

Proposals and Abstracts are now closed!

Proposals and Abstracts:
We welcome and encourage proposals and abstracts for the 2018 conference in Lisbon, Portugal.
Please submit all proposals and abstracts via submission form by February 28, 2018


Working Language:


We welcome panel and individual paper proposals on all the suggested topics (please see below) and others related to the theme of the conference.

Note on panel proposals: Panels may have three to four presenters. Agreement from all members of the suggested panel must be obtained by the proposed chair prior to its submission. Proposals should include full contact information of its members. The chair may also be a presenter. Both the chair and all presenters must be registered for the conference.


Individual paper proposals must include a 300-400-word abstract and 4 keywords.
Individual papers should be scheduled for 15 minutes (ca. 2250 words)
Panel proposals must include an up to 1000-word abstract describing the rationale of the panel, the abstracts of the presentations, and 4 keywords.
Proposals and abstracts will be screened by the conference directors.

Please submit all proposals and abstracts via submission form by February 28, 2018


Notification of acceptance of proposals/abstracts: March 2018

By submitting an abstract, authors give permission for it to be published on the conference web site and in the printed conference booklet.

Only registrants may present papers or chair panels. Final acceptance hinges on registration (Registration forms and details will be posted later on the conference web page).
